The Honorable Anthony "Tony" L. Clark, age 76, of Atco NJ, passed away on April 15, 2025.
Former Camden Corporate Watch President. A longtime resident and pillar of Waterford Township, Tony served five terms as Mayor as well as Deputy Mayor and the Director of Public Safety. He was quite the leader, holding the role as Director of the Governor's South Jersey office, where his efforts were instrumental in benefiting the community, he held so dear to his heart. Tony was a proud member of the War Memorial Committee, Waterford Township Historical Society, Camden Corporate Watch, and played an active role on the Pastor nominating committee and as President of the Corporation at Atco Presbyterian Church. He also served as both Deacon and Elder at the church. One of his proud life moments included delivering a speech alongside President Ronald Reagan - an honor he took very seriously. As a Sunday school teacher to high schoolers and adults alike, he was known for his wonderful lessons - always paired with a box of munchkin donuts, a tradition he continued through the years. Another tradition that will be missed is his famous chili that he would prepare for his Christmas Eve open house. After retiring, Tony took on a new title as full time "Pop Pop" spending his days with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends as well as his community.
Beloved husband of the late Toni Clark (nee Lewis). Devoted father of KerriLaine Prunella (Warren) and Kristi Horner (Jeff).
Tony is predeceased by Samuel Clark, Marva Clark Gordon, Jose Rivera, and Jeanne Clark. Cherished Pop Pop of Victoria, Taylor, Marco, and CJ. He is also survived by Shiree Clark, Rachquel Briggs, many loving nieces and nephews, and his loving church family.
